New city, new people, new hostel and new environment for sure!

After spending three hours at the station I decided to look for my hostel, so I needed to take the MRT which is the pulic transportation there. My stop was only two station away but I felt like I had arrived in another world. You really can’t compare Singapore with Kuala Lumpur, walking in the street is like doing parcour. The pedestrian road, if they exist, are just going up, down, up, down and crossing the street is just like a suicide mission. So I arrived at my station but i couldn’t find any signs nor any wifi connection. So I walked to the nearest fast food restaurant I could find and connected to their wifi. It was so extremely hot and with my two backpacks I just felt like melting.

After spending three hours waiting on a bench at the station, I decided to go look for my Hostel. I took the MRT, the public transportation there which brought me to the nearest station. My stop was only at two stations away but I felt like I entered a new world. You really can't compare Singapore with Kuala Lumpur, walking in the street is like doing parkour. The pedestrian road, if they exist, are just going up, down, up, down and crossing the street is just like a suicide mission. Signs and WiFi were unfindable, so I was kinda lost... I went to the nearest fast food chain and connected to their net to find my way to the hostel. It was extremely hot and with my two backpacks I just felt like melting!

I couldn’t check in in my hostel yet so i just left my backpack and decided to join a free walking tour. The tour lasted for four hours and was really interesting! It enabled me to enter in places I would have never gone into but also know a bit more about the history of the city.

When the tour finished I decided to go back to the hostel and take a big shower. But before I even got there I found myself in Chinatown which was really lovely with a big covered market and lots of different shops. As I finally arrived at the hostel, I chilled a little on the lovely terrace. I was really tired after walking all day and the lack of sleep of the night before. Though I decided to go to a big shopping mall and get some food. The shopping mall was really big and there were so many food places that I couldn’t really decide what to take. I ended up choosing some Pad Thai which was absolutely delicious.

As I made my plans for the next day already i didn't have the choice either then going to the Petronas Twin Towers today.

My feet were sore, yet I really wanted to see Kuala Lumpur's famous landmark!

After walking for 25 minutes in a very long sort of tunnel I ended up in a huge shopping mall, again haha. When I finally found the exit I got amazed by the big buildings but the second I wanted to take a picture I got stopped by a couple of guys selling lenses to put on your phone to give it a larger sight. After rejecting it a couple of time a 18 y.o guy really insisted on taking a picture with it on my phone to show it. So he made a couple and since he was really kind I decided to buy it cause it did indeed give a better picture.

I went a bit further away to have another angle but the guy came back and we started talking. After a while he said he had a great idea for a picture in mind which was me trying to hand on the skybridge. I said yes that sounds cool! But the moment I turned around in my head it was going "OMG what am i doing, i just gave my phone to an unknown guy and i can't even see what he is doing!!! Maybe when i'll turn around he won't be there anymore... stupid me stupid me!!

Fortunately he wasn't like that and he actually made one of the best travel pics of me so far. I can't remember your name young man but thank you haha.

After this lovely meeting I went to the other side of the building. I arrived at the perfect moment as a water and light show was about to begin. I sat down and just enjoyed the life I was living now. That moment I was realizing wow! Am I really living this right now? This is amazing, everyone should be able to do this!

It made me think about a lot of things in life as well. I had only travelled for a couple of days but I've never felt so alive! Days were long and filled with amazing discoveries, emotions, meetings and so much more. It made me realize life is going so fast when all you do is getting up in the morning, go to school/work, study, go back home, eat and sleep. And that every single day...

The light and water show was amazing! It gave a great atmosphere with the music and people around. As it started to get late I decided to go back to the hostel. I wanted to take an Uber as I really started to feel those strolling days in my legs. But I couldn't find any wifi so...... I had to walk. The problem was I needed to find my way back through the huge shopping mall. Why are the shopping malls so big in Asia??? No kidding, I spend 35 minutes trying to find the long tunnel again.

When I finally made it to the hostel I took a long shower and went to bed.
