Third month at Amazing Borneo, I still enjoy working here! My colleagues are super friendly and tasks given are interesting :D
Below are my daily missions:
Week 1
Week one was very short again due to the two days of public holidays (Ka'amatan also known under Harvest Fest) in the middle of the week.
My missions were:
- Update social media, Mount Kinabalu and North Borneo Cruises
- Worked on my Mount Kinabalu blog post
- Did research for articles for Sabah Travel website
- Cassey thought me some features in Lightroom CC so I worked on some photo editing as well
Week 2
- I finalized my vlog with music, logo and color correction and it finally went online!

I am really happy about it and got really good feedback too! Editing video's is really fun to
do. I like it a lot to find the right music and make something out of different clips :D
- I wrote the nature resort blog post
- Did some photo editing on Lightroom CC
- Did the usual social media
Week 3
On Monday and Thursday I got the chance to go on a snorkeling tour to make another vlog about my experience joining the tour. It was definitely more challenging to film under water and try to get good content but i enjoyed every minute of it.
I saw lots of fishes and corals, a big komodo and the islands were just breathtaking! Especially Mamutik Island with its view on Mount Kinabalu, white sand beaches and clear blue water is a place I won't forget that easy. I'll start work on the vlog next week, can't wait!
This week we also had 2 days of public holidays on Friday and Saturday because of Hari Raya Aidilfitri (end of Ramadan). Malaysia is mainly a Muslim country so the end of the ramadan is always a big celebration!
This week was therefore really short for me.
- I worked on the social media as usual
- Planned and edited some NBC pictures
- Created short but click-worthy descriptions for the different tours from our newsletter
- Put the pictures with my blog post about my diving experience
- Put all the content on my laptop and names the clips accordingly
Week 4
- I mainly worked on my snorkeling vlog but due to a lot (too much) footage it takes quite some time to select everything, order, decide what to keep or not...
- Usual social media tasks
- Created a blog post for North Borneo Cruises and edited and watermarked its pictures.

- Looked up some homestays for a new project called 'Sabah Travel'
- Monitored and helped Joyce (new front desk employee) with twitter
- Sales tracking update
