Time flies, it's the start of the fourth month already!

Week 1
This week was really different then all the ones I've had before. The marketing team (Dane, Cassey and Leon) and I went on a one week trip to the North of Sabah to shoot some new content for the new SabahTravel website.
My tasks this week were to take pictures for content, film and by time to time walk into the shots for some b-roll.
I learned quite a lot this week! I understand now how to change the setting (ISO, shutter-speed, aperture...) on a camera in order to make better pictures, there is so much more then only 'auto mode' on a camera!
We stayed in homestays which gave me the opportunity to be even closer to the Malaysian lifestyle and hospitality. Our job was to take content and participate in their activities so that we could promote them in the best way! The host would bring us to many different places which was the perfect way to find out what the best things are to do around their place which we would promote as well.
Unfortunately weather was not always with us so even though we chased every sunrise, sunset and milky-way it wasn't always the result we were waiting for... Yet we've travelled around a lot, asked locals if their were any beautiful and not well-known places where we could have a look and discovered some amazing places!

The area covered this time was:
- Kota Belud
- Kudat
- Kota Marudu
- Pitas
- Ranau jungle
- Ranau mountain part
We did end up with a lot of content and some very good shots as well so I am looking forward to see the final result!
Week 2
This week was divided between the end of the content trip, regular tasks and a training.
This week i got the chance to join a social media training led by Clare Macrina. She is in charge of the social media from Ikea Singapore as well as the main Red bull one.
She gave us some tips and example of what do work and what don't and after we created a new content calendar that could be very useful if one day you are not here and someone else needs to take care of the instagram account.
Week 3
I started this week by doing my regular tasks as updating social media, editing some pictures and selecting the good pictures from our content trip.
I wrote a blog post about Home-stays in Sabah as well as an article about the progression of the two social media accounts I've been handling and techniques I've been using.
Joyce who just joined us and handled the twitter account of Amazing Borneo resigned so I took over her job posting daily.
I was asked to write about my experience being an intern at Amazing Borneo so I've been doing that as well.
On Wednesday I started a three days training in order to get my PADI diving certification. It started with a one day technical training plus test in the office followed by two days where we dived and did all the exercices required to get the license.
We also got the time to do two Open dive up to 18m where we saw sea turtles, lion fishes, nemo's, squid, two big rays, a lot of other fishes and amazing corals!

It was an amazing experience and i can now finally say I am PADI certified!
